Not going to sugarcoat it, billing is painful.  Out of the box Liongard can setup alerts that only trigger to the billing team when license or counts change that you bill on, if you're using Connectwise there is even more integration with a Billing Comparison screen showing you licensing inside of Connectwise contracts and what is actually in production from the different inspectors.
